Paddy O'Furniture reports:

Oi cart the farst plane over fram Dublin on Sunday marnin having been in some pab all noight. Oi carnt remember which warn it wars, but it sold Guinness so Oi was harppy. Anyway when Oi gart on the plane the pilot was drarnk so dey arsked me to floi the plane. It's quoit easy, you just aim for the big blue thing with fluffy white bits and try nart to go upside down too arften.

Personally Oi hardn't been in a boat for 33 years so my rowing was a bit shoite and Oi was ready to get out at the Plough on the row down, burt Oi warsn't allowed to, it's Gerry Adam's fault. Funnily nobody wanted a swig from my hipflask of Sambuca and Baileys. In da race all Oi can remermber is that sell-out Ronan Keating singing that blardy irritating sarng af his, the one they used ta play arn the radio arll the toime. Anyway we all hate dat sarng so we rowed farster arnd wan the race, it warsn't difficult.

Oi accosted him arfterwards and made him buy me a new jerry carrrrn becarse I broke the old one whoilst rowing too hard.

Alice McNamara reports:

Given that we had never rowed in this combination before today, I think we did stunningly well. The balance was perfect, the pushes together. Christina did a fantastic job at stroke and we all got our catches in quickly and together. Mike's calls were both inspired and inspiring and the push to the finish was the most effective I've ever experienced. A big shout out to Nicola for helping us with the rigging - that really made the difference!
